Green Stripe Walking at Tara Dress has been selected as one of our next projects.
Supplies have been purchased and the pattern drafting begun;
however at this time the project is on hold.

The 3 piece dress as well as the hat and purse will be constructed of SILK ORGANZA & TAFFETA  .

The hat will be built on a hand made buckram and wire frame and decorated with 2 green taffeta Dior Rose. Matching  purse with contrasting corded piping trim completes the ensemble.

This fashion plate is from the September 1866 Godey's Ladies Book.  Look closely at the red & white strip dress for Walter Plunkett's inspiration for Scarlett's version.   Note the green bolero jacket behind it whihc was used for this dress and the stripe bodice at the far left which shows up as Scarlett's Red & White Christmas with Ashley dress.

The gown requires a medium size heavy duty 6 wire hoop slip.

If  you are interested in having any of the life size Gone With the Wind reproduction costumes ( gowns etc. ) please email us with your current dress size and height and the costume you are interested in replicating. We will send you back a measurement chart for fitting. We are not limited to Scarlett costumes.
